How we handle your information.

Who we are

Allouve is a data and technology consultancy based in Dallas, Texas, working with nonprofits and foundations. For any question about this policy or the information we hold about you, email hello@allouve.com.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. There are four ways that happens on this site:

• Newsletter signup — your email address, plus which page you signed up from.
• Build Your Ecosystem questionnaire — your organization, your name and role, what you focus on, your city or region, the stage that interests you, the partner organizations you list, what you would want to tackle together, and your email address.
• Find your starting point — your answers to the five questions and the stage and budget range they point to. This one is anonymous: it asks for no email address and we cannot tie it back to you.
• Booking a call — handled entirely by Calendly, using whatever details you give them. See Calendly's privacy notice for how they handle it.

Why we collect it

To reply to you, to send the newsletter if you asked for it, and to understand which of our services fit the organizations reaching out. Where the law requires a lawful basis, ours is your consent for marketing email, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our work.

Marketing email

We only send marketing email to people who asked for it. Signing up for the newsletter is itself that request. On forms whose main purpose is something else, marketing consent is a separate, unticked checkbox, and leaving it unticked does not stop you using the form. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also just reply and ask us to stop.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. We do rely on a small number of service providers to run this site:

• Supabase — the database that stores form submissions (hosted in the United States).
• Resend — sends us the email notification when you submit a form.
• Vercel — hosts this website and provides our privacy-friendly, cookie-free visitor analytics.
• Calendly — runs the call booking, if you book one.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Keeping the forms from being abused

To stop automated scripts flooding our forms, we count how many submissions come from a given network address in a short window. We do not store the address itself: it is converted into a one-way fingerprint that cannot be turned back into an address, kept for at most an hour, and then deleted. It is used only to enforce that limit, and never to identify you or to build a record of your visits.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Our analytics are aggregate and cookie-free: we see how many people visited a page and roughly where in the world they came from, not who they are, and no profile is built about you across sites. That is why you are not being asked to dismiss a cookie banner.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries and questionnaire responses for as long as we are in conversation with you, and for up to three years afterwards so we remember the context if you come back. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Anonymous quiz results are kept indefinitely, since they cannot identify anyone.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for marketing. If you are in the UK or the EU, you also have the right to object to processing, to request that we restrict it, to receive your data in a portable form, and to complain to your local data protection authority.

Email hello@allouve.com and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge, and you do not need to explain why you are asking.

Children

This site is aimed at people working at nonprofits and foundations. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. For anything significant, we will say so in the newsletter as well.
